The River Flush
If you can identify a couple weak players at the online poker table, you want to be in the hand with them as cheaply as possible. The key here is letting them bet small and you simply calling to the river. Now when you arrive at the river on a draw and you see that the board hits for the flush draw, watch how the action changes. The bettor will now check the action around the table instead of betting. Once the bet gets to you, now you represent that flush by pushing the chips in the middle. The weak bettor will fold for fear you just caught your flush and they do not want to pay you off holding a big pair.
The River Bluff
Another way to win a big pot at the river is to bluff when another person is chasing. To win this pot you are going to be in a hand with a weak player when there is two to a straight or flush on board. Take the lead and bet each turn until you hit the river. When the river does not make the flush or straight, now you push the action hard to really put the other player to the test. if they missed their draw, they can not make the call and will fold.
